Aston Villa must end a decade-long drought against Manchester City if they are to maintain their 100 per cent winning record at home this season.
Unai Emery’s side have smashed 25 goals in six consecutive Premier League victories at Villa Park, on a run which actually extends back to February of last season to include a further seven wins.
City head to the west Midlands on Wednesday night having been held to three league draws in a row, the latest coming in controversial circumstances at home to Tottenham.
However, Pep Guardiola’s side have enjoyed their trips to Villa Park in recent times – and are unbeaten against these opponents since Leandro Bacuna and Andreas Weimann were Villa’s heroes in a 3-2 win in September 2013.
